In a surprising collaboration that challenges usual predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of prohibited rituals and monstrous changes reverberate through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret sect.
The adventure focuses on "bizarre trials and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses
The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a striking moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Additional Features
Players who finish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana together with multiple items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

- Mikasa attire for Naoe

Latest Free Story Content
This release also adds the game's latest no-cost story content, titled "The Mystery." This humorous quest partners Naoe and Yasuke as they trade characteristic techniques: Naoe reveals a dramatic variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-lethal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Enigma" also contains a original environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
